Yup I did - and I thought I'd sorted all the gamma workspace on it. Although it does get confusing when the renderer asks for gamma correction too!

is that with top mod? I wonder how it would look if you applied ambient occlusion to the reflection and/or specular channel?

Could use a gamma correction as it is looking a little washed out. I take it, it is ment to be a black ceramic if so the highlights look a little 'warm'.
Nice image, not sure it sits right as looks a little un-grounded balancing on two points. Have you given a render in a more naturalistic setting a go?

Looks really good. I like the lighting, very soft and mellow. Maybe its the black colour of the rose. The rest of the scene is white and pinks so a very dark purple or blue may suit the rose better. Other than that I cant see anything wrong with this piece, it's a really interesting image.
