If you don't mind, can you explain how you made things like the action lines?

I found this really helpful! I'm trying to get into screentones (I've never used them before! ), so hopefully these will work with GIMP or SAI. Hopefully. ....right?
One question: How do you get the image to be....(for lack of better words) multiplied? Like, at the same space everywhere like a pattern. I am very confused by this. I tried it once for GIMP and it didn't work...

Sorry for the late reply!

I have no idea how exactly I can help you with SAI/GIMP, I have never used them before, I usually stick with Photoshop! These patterns are made for Photoshop, and work seamlessly together in that way. Outside of Photoshop, the only way I could think of having them stick together, is like, taking the same image and sticking it one next to another...? Iunno how patterns work outside of Photohsop, sorry :C

That's okay. I have Photoshop Elements, so hopefully the priciple is the same! Thanks for your help, though! (No worries about the late reply; totally understandable)

I tried saving it as a .pat and it said the file was bad or corrupted

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kita-Angel In reply to an1mefan [2010-03-29 21:40:08 +0000 UTC]

Normally Photoshop won't let you directly go and "Save As.." a .pat, you need to go to image, define pattern preset to make a new pattern, once the pattern is made, if you go into the presets, and the pattern section from in that window you can save the .pat file.

I think that's what you were looking for at least... if not let me know and I'll try and figure it out if I can.
