Meet Hotaru, another OC from my story "The Dragon's Bride". As the title says, she is a young fox-demon and great-granddaughter of the goddess Inari. Hotaru is a bit clumsy but good hearted. She was assigned to be Kaya's lady-in-waiting and is secretly in love with Shiro, Kaya's half-brother (you can see him and Kaya here: Tengu and Kaya ).Hotaru's name means "firefly"

This is a really beautiful illustration! I think the colors were really well planned so they draw attention to the character, and that was very successful. The blues aren't oversaturated, so they give the picture almost a wintery feel, and it works wonders to add to the mood of the piece overall! You did a great job with anatomy and shading too, so it pulls the illustration into a complete and great work of art.
