OMG! I managed to finish just in time!!! This picture turned out a bit more ambitious than originally planned.This is my part for the 6th task of OC-training "Enjoyment". It was really cool, no, AMAZING, to draw Karil together with 's Al . Al likes making kites and Karil, since he really IS a kid, despite everything that is happening to him, loves fairs and festivals (there are sweets, and games and street artists - what is there not to like!?). So after a brief idea exchange with this was the result - the spring Kite Festival in the City of Five Pillars. Since there are many elemental masters in the city, with Karil being one of them, the expression "flying a kite" gets a totally new meaning. And Alwen is about to experience it first hand .

Wow, it looks totally awesome! I love all the details, diverse colors, things happening in the background, the stalls with all this stuff, so many kites! and the fact you left the foreground empty to properly show Karil and Al, it looks so well planned. Maybe you could cut on the foreground a bit for a better composition, or maybe add a stall or two on the sides, it's a slight change but could add a bit of depth to the overall scene. It looks great already as it is though, you nicely used the cracks and greenery to show something is happening in the foreground. (It's a trick I was taught on a drawing course so if you figured it on your own I can only congratulate you more.
Both Karil and Al came out amazing, it shows they're having tons of fun, and I'm sure Al didn't expect so literal meaning of FLYING A KITE

You are right about the foreground. I think I'll just crop the picture. If I start painting over the finished piece right now, it'll definitely end up badly...

Yeah, it's great sometimes there are such simple fixes to minor composition issues. Indeed you probably shouldn't paint over it anymore, it looks great the way it is, overdoing with fixes might lead to total fail sometimes (been there, done that)

Oh wow, this is gorgeous! Your use of color and all the details is incredibly--I love that you gave the background characters faces and showed inside the stall. The portrayal of the festival is done so well; and you created such a happy atmosphere! I wonder how Alwen will feel about being lifted into the air; he looks a little unsure...

Those colors are just so lovely! I really, really love all of the details you put into this work - there's a certain fluidity, a liveliness, to this piece I can't quite seem to capture in words!
The bright coloring really set such a happy tone; there's joy in this moment, and those kites are just so pretty, too! The little girl pointing at them in the background is such a nice touch (and I also like the masks that are being sold, as well as the man who's carrying a massive basket of apples! 
Karil looks pretty happy up on his dragon-kite, and I really like how you indicated his movement and depicted the air flowing around Al. Karil's clothing is so bright and vibrant, and I really enjoy how you mixed all of those colors! And look at the kid's sparkly eyes! He's so cute!
Al himself looks happily surprised, and I greatly enjoy his somewhat uneasy-yet-excited body language! (I also greatly enjoy the coloring of his armor! Such a nice yellowy orange~
The flags in the background also look really lovely, and gosh- it just looks like such a fun, summery day, I almost wish I were there myself in Al's place

If you've got any suggestions for a collab, I'd love - LOVE - to hear them, because I surely would love to do some more work!
(That being said, also, would it be all right if I drew some fan art of your story sometime in a nearby future (when I've got some more time on my hands, that is - meaning: in about a week or three? X'D))

You definitely can borrow him. I too would like to see another training session. Maybe Al and Salep would also like to have a real spar between profys and not a student-teacher easy one for a change
And about the fan art... OMG< I AM HONORED! No one has ever wanted to do fan art based on my stuff. So definitely DO! Please!!!

As for weapon training with Salep and Al, hmmmm - I know from experience that a sword is NO MATCH for a pole-arm (I practice both handling sword, dagger, and staff/spear, the latter being comparable to a glaive
Once I've got some more time, I'll probably start working on some fan art/a new installment of 'Karil and Al: Martial Arts Adventures'

Thank you ! I love making colorful pictures, so this task was exactly what I needed
I think coloring the air was the most difficult part, especially since one of my white markers DIED on me in the worst possible moment .
