Ahh, yes. I remember how I freaked out when I first found out that if somewhere (don't remember the name anymore) snowed, kids, didn't have to go to school. I whined about it for the next three weeks, seeing how in Finland we just go even if there's a meter of snow. Oh joy.

Its more fun when all the kids turn up, and there's no teacher, and the school doesn't realise the class has no teacher so the class just gets free reign. Surprisingly enough, the class is usually better behaved than when there is a teacher around

Yea, there's that, but most of the yelling happens when the kids want to do something and the teacher won't let them. Maths class was the most common for this to happen in, and then, kids would either be bored enough to actually do work, in groups, or muck around on laptops, or with phones and stuff. They'd also draw on the whiteboard, it was pretty fun

I work IT support for the district...
When the kids aren't there... 50% of the problem is gone...
When the teachers are out that takes care of 40% more of the problem...
When Admin is out too, That covers 9.999% of the remainder! =^^=

It's also funny the other way around: at my school, the rule is if the teacher doesn't show for 15 minutes or so, you're allowed to leave the classroom... of course by then, the room's gone to hell in a hamsterball XD.
