Description I took this picture at the Hoorn–Medemblik heritage railway.

Beijens delivered the E10 in 1888. In 1897 or 1898 the E10 was renumbered to D1. The intention was to convert the D1 into a boxcar, but this did not happen. In 1905, after being out of service for a while, the D1 was fitted with balconies and equipped as a conductor/luggage car. The D1 was given the number C1. In 1917 the C1 was fitted with a vacuum brake and renumbered as P1 in 1921. In 1930 the car was withdrawn, but the NTM kept the undercarriage, reinforced it and built a new P1 on it in 1930.

In 1947 the box of the P1 was sold to the Noord-Oost-Friessche Autobusonderneming NV, which started to use it as a storage place in Dokkum. Later the P1 also served as a sheep pen in Dokkum.

In 1971 the car was donated to the Museum Steam Tram, via the Tramweg Foundation (TS). After a thorough restoration, the P1 was put back into service with the Museum Steam Tram in 1972. However, without brakes, which will be installed during a next repair.

Nowadays the P1 drives along in the "Historic Trams" and then serves as a base for the Horeca. The carriage is equipped with a refrigerator and storage areas. In addition, the car still serves as a Conductor car.
