Description Cast pewter pendant from a hand-carved wax. The US quarter is there for scale, it's about 1.25" wide.

---

Brigid's cross pendant that I made for Imbolc. On one side, Brigid's cross within a blossom of flames, surrounded by a circle and archways at the four quarters. On the other side, a triskelion of wings rising on spiral clouds. The resemblance of the outer wheel to a Zia sun symbol is coincidence, but now that I've noticed it, I like it.

My muse for this piece was the Irish Goddess Brigid (obviously), and the chant by Sharon Knight on the CD she made with T. Thorn Coyle, "Songs for the Strengthening Sun":

"Hail Brigid of the triple face
Whose voice does rise on the lilt of grace
Whose blossoms beautiful ever bloom
On the wings of poetry's sweet perfume."

---

This is the first cast piece I've ever made. I'm absurdly proud.

There are a couple of woobles that happened in the casting that weren't there in the wax. Not sure if it's a problem with the mold or just "pewter is weird like that and sometimes needs cleanup".

---

We will probably make these pendants available for purchase later this year. I'll update here when there's a link or more information.

But this first one is mine.

This is pretty epic. I'd love to give this discipline a go someday. *runs off skipping through the interwebs searching for more info.*

I would like to pick up one or two of these actually. Will you be doing ones for the other 7 Sabbats or just this one?

I... hadn't really thought about that. We did this one because we were hosting an Imbolc ritual, and since Brigid is goddess of the Forge, and we're jewelers with a home casting workshop, it seemed natural to incorporate pewter-casting into the ritual.

But the idea of doing one for each of the Sabbats is intriguing. I might noodle around with designs and see what I can come up with.

That would be very awesome I think, and if you could make them available for purchase individually and as a set I think a lot of pagans would certainly go for those. I know I would.
