I do not use references xDD I've just drawn Shadow so much, he sticks in my mind. And his chest fluff is one of the parts I look forward to drawing every time xD Not to mention I used to tape all of Sonic x and re-watch it religiously until my friend murdered my tapes xD I recently discovered that I have ben drawing Shadow's "mascara" wrong this whole time though, but I've corrected it in the more recent stuff.

Actually, I think he considers her family. Like a big sister. Plus, she saved his life by sacrificing her own to send him to earth. That's why he always thinks of her, because his last image of her was her getting shot in the back
