Physical appearance: Whole body consists of a 'dusty brown', varying in shades. Underbelly is a greyish brown and muzzle is a tanish brown. Hair is varied and body consists of mostly one color. The paws are all the same except the front left, which is white. Royal purple nose and eyes; and has a distinct scar on his right back leg that never seems to heal.

Appearance:

Whole body consists of a 'dusty brown', varying in shades. Underbelly is a grey-ish brown and muzzle is a tan-ish brown. Hair is varied and body consists of mostly one color. The paws are all the same except the front left, which is white. Always wears a blue necklace and a crown of rose. Royal purple nose and expressive eyes; and has a distinct scar on his right back leg that never seems to heal. His head is a wedge shape with broad triangular ears. He is an Abyssinian-Chausie mix and has long slender legs to accommodate his love of running. He's a generally tall and lithe cat that is always active, eats very little, always has a look of interest on his face and is a 'ladies man'. Weighs twelve pounds and is roughly the size of a Jack Russel Terrier. His tail is light and tapers slightly to a rounded end. His paws are dainty an oval shaped, for running purposes. The crown is made from the branches of a rose bush, containing thorns and roses. He always wears it, due to his belief that pain makes you stronger. Has eyebrows that arch perfectly, giving him the 'interested' look and flattering the ladies.

Personality:

Briarpatch is a tall, lithe cat with high expectations. He believes in using your resources and living up to your full potential. Every cat he meets, he greets with an unfaltering kindness and he makes it his duty to fulfill their every need. (This can sometimes hurt him.) He stands up to anything that comes at him and 'takes the bull by the horns' whenever a situation is at hand. Briar makes educated decisions and uses the skills he's acquired throughout his three years of living to make those decisions. Positives: Briar is a great decision maker (as stated), and chooses everything with care. He looks upon life as a blessing and something none should end purposely. When cat's are in need, he helps them in the best way possible. When cat's are sick, he feels it is his duty to make them better, even when the doctor has it under control. Negatives: He tends to argue with others on unimportant topics, and therefore, wastes time. Is very emotional, getting choked up about the simplest things; and commonly not letting anyone comfort him, he goes elsewhere to deal with his problems. He also has a bad habit of sleeping with she-cats. "They're just all so beautiful!" He'd exclaim. Neutral: He is a devoted cat and will fight to the death for his friends. He also follows rules with a strict elegance, doing them better than he should but not believing he is doing well enough. Interesting traits: He always talks about the one dream-cat he has. "The love of my life", he mews constantly when talking about she-cats with the other males. He has never seemed to find the 'perfect' she-cat to become mates with. Is extremely alert, always knows what is going on and rushes into it.

History:

Was abandoned and taken in by an old cat. The old cat taught him her ways; and soon after he reached one year, she died. He made a town in her honor, she always wished to have her own little village. He started the second she died, recreating this little town she dream-pt of... but the town began to thrive with cats that had previously lived on the Island and they moved into his town, helping it to become a paradise. Across the Great River, rumors spread about there being a Paradise across the river, was it true?

One day, a small tortoiseshell was dared to cross the river. She had boasted about her swimming abilities to such a great extent, that they had finally had enough and said "If you can make it across the river and come back alive, then we'll name you the best swimmer in the forest!"
And, being a smart Alec, she said "Fine. I will." She marched up to the shore, slowly slipped into the water, then began her swim.

The cats watched with worried faces as she vanished. They hadn't thought she'd actually do it. Everyone else had died trying.

She made it to where she could see a small dot in the distance, then, her body halting, she fainted.

One of the great Swimmers on the island was out for a hunt, and seeing this large floating object, dove for it. The swimmer brought the little cat to shore and called Briar. Explaining what happened, Briar listened intently.

He then brought the small tortoiseshell to the doctor. They revived her and sent her back across the river.

She told all the cats about her great adventure and the amazing things she had sen, though she warned all cats to not try to cross the river without a boat.
