interesting... I had recently thought about possibly incorporating aluminum foil into one of my pieces at some point. guess you beat me to it.

I'd been playing around with the idea in my head for a couple of months now, so when I was eating some yoghurt and thinking about the painting (it was unfinished then, of course), and the lid of the cup was metal, I thought why not. I'm going to do it again. Doesn't mean you can't do it, too. In fact, I'm curious to see what you'd do with aluminum foil. I just know it would be something very interesting.

well, just because you've already done it doesn't mean I can't, LOL!!! I don't know, we will have to see if or when that might happen.

Hehe, no, I now own the universal rights to that technique, because I'm sure no one else has ever thought of it.

So you actually painted on aluminium foil? How did that work? Was it the sort of thin foil you use in kitchen?

yes, kitchen foil
I always used it as palet for oil paint, because it doesn't absorb paint
I did a few landscape kinda things on foil, clues onto cardboard, don't think I still have em..

well maybe not the yogurt lid specifically... besides, my foil is a lovely gold colored rather than aluminum.

I think gold will go well with the kinds of colours you use. Interesting...

The metallic foil gives it an awesome texture. Looks nice, man.

Thanks, man. The metal is from the lid of a yoghurt can.
