"You see!" said a strained voice. Tonks was glaring at Lupin. "She still wants to marry him, even though he's been bitten! She doesn't care!""It's different," said Lupin, barely moving his lips and looking suddenly tense. "Bill will not be a full werewolf. The cases are completely -- "
"But I don't care either, I don't care!" said Tonks, seizing the front of Lupin's robes and shaking them. "I've told you a million times ... "
"And I've told you a million times," said Lupin, refusing to meet her eyes, staring at the floor, "that I am too old for you, too poor... too dangerous ..."

I love this part because it shows just how wonderful Lupin is... putting what's best for Tonks before his obvious love for her. I think they will end up marrying.

I have seen this pic before on another website (i think so....) and i loved it then, and i definitely love it now. it is a great depiction of one of my favorite parts in the book.

Hmm...Lupin/Tonks.............not entirely sure why Jo would write that... the Harry and Ginny stuff was okay, and the Ron and Lavender stuff was...erm...interesting...but for some reason Lupin/Tonks seems kinda fannish....... actualy a lot of HBP seems fannish to me....HMMM...alright well I'mtotally off topic. This is so great!! I never could really pull off painting but you're so good at it! Yay people who can paint good!

I know that HBP seemed really fanfic ish... but I think it's because the book is growing with the characters, so a lot more relationships that the characters were naive to are now revealed as they have grown.

Bitten by a werewolf and coping with it for thirty years... going through several wars... ridicule from the Ministry for being a werewolf... going month after month of brutal transformation ... watching two of your best friends die, then the third turn to Voldemort. Wanting to love Tonks but he can't. See my point? All that is enough to prematurely age anyone. I did this on purpose. Isn't it the artist's job to draw the characters how they picture them?
