God I loved this scene! It's a wonder why I haven't drawn it until now, almost exactly a year after the sixth book was released.Ha, those fingers are so funny looking but oh well. Don't think Ron get manicures. Or good DNA.
And I know the tears defy gravity, but I tried. They're kinda hard with watercolors.

yup. that part had me squealing like the 15-year-old little fangirl I was when I started reading the books, not the almost 20-year-old nearly grown woman with an increased interest in children's literature I was last summer. All the while the more rational part of my brain was desperately screaming "Dude, Dumbly is dead. This is reeeeaaaally bad. You should stop being giddy right about NOW!!!" in the background.
As for your painting: It's a nice visualization of the scene taht has been on a repeat-loop in our brains for about what - a week? - after reading HBP, well done!
And yes, esp. Ron's tear defies gravity extraordinarily. It míght even be Wonder-tear!

I'll grudgingly admit I had a very uncharacteristic fangirl-squee moment thar.. as with the amortentia, the snow, the 'I love you Hermione//dont let Lavlav hear yeh' bit, and the whole H/Gn thang. It was a very squee-ish book really, wasn't it?
Anyway, your art. I absolutely adore how you draw eyes, especially girly eyes. The painting of Harry and Ginny spiderman thing is my favourite eye moment.. Ginnys are just so beautifully painted. I love Hermiones tears in this, how you've beld the water through the paint or just painted around it.. I don't care how you did it, it looks goddamn cool!
