I supposed this is my first "real" oil painting. My glass bottles picture was oil paint sticks on black cardboard, and this is pure paint on stretched canvas. This painting was probably the most awkward thing I've ever attempted. I duck-taped the mirror to the top of my easel, and it kept falling off and hitting me or the floor. I had some fun trying to balance the paint on my knees and painting my left hand with my right hand. Awkward. I found out that I can't draw ears. But OH! I LOVE the my left hand! It was one of the last things I did, and I was finally comfortable with the paint. I'm excited to try more oils.Edit: This painting won 100 bucks at a local art show. Yay for money!

Well, all the precarious taping of the mirror to the easel paid off in the end; nice job, I myself have never touched oil paints before (I don't think anyhow.)

Very cool! Although I'm trying to decide why one of her eyes are closed, maybe she poked her eye out with the pencil? lol j/k I love it!

lol! I'm measuring proportions with the paintbrush... well, I'm trying to anyway. I'm basically painting myself painting. x3 And I just realized I painted my eye the wong color. Oopsy!
