Personality & Background:
Drift was born on a quiet evening to Marble Pie and Feather Bangs four years into the couple's marriage. When he was a colt, Feather Bangs taught Drift to play the guitar. They would practice usually at least once a day, and Drift got better and better. He received his cutie mark when performing a song of his own creation when he was 12. He received his cutie mark later than other foals, and was sometimes bullied for this.

Once Drift turned 18, he left home and traveled the open roads. He didn't have a plan, a home or a steady job. He lived off the bits he made performing his songs at bars and restaurants that would take him. When he was 19, he met a beautiful mare named Wandering Willow who approached him after a performance in Canterlot one night. The two hit it off right away. Drift stayed in Canterlot for five months, the longest he had stayed in any one place. One night, Willow came to his apartment and told him to run away with her. With no complaints from Drift, the two set off again on the open road, living life spontaneously, seeing the world from every angle.

Drift and Willow are madly in love, and have yet to return to either of their homes or families. They've yet to see the entirety of Equestria, but that's their goal. They live in the homes of friends they make, hotels they sneak into, and apartments they leave right before rent is due. They live a care free life under the stars and in the mountains, not knowing where their next meal will come from or when they'll get the money to pay for it.

And it's perfect.

Relationships:
Drift hasn't seen his parents since the day he left, and they miss him dearly. When he was a foal, his mother taught him to appreciate the beauty of nature and feel connected with the world. His father showed him the wonders of music and gave him what he needed to express the feelings buried deep inside him. His parents truly shaped him into who he turned out to be. Sometimes he'll think of them and plan to head back, but there's always something new that keeps him on the road.

When he was younger, Drift loved to play with his older cousin Ace of Diamonds. They’d wrestle and explore a lot, often leaving Ace’s sisters behind. He never really got close to his Aunt Pinkie Pie or Uncle Donut Joe, however.

During his high school years, Drift found himself hanging around Pluto . Drift didn't talk much, and Pluto was even less open conversation wise, but nopony would have guessed this had they seen the two talking for hours about stars and space.

Drift plans to marry Willow one day. He's just waiting for the right moment to ask.

- Willow believes that one day Drift is going to make it big
- Out of all the places he’s visited, Drift finds himself more attracted to areas in the outdoors or involving nature, such as forests, fields or mountains. He gets antsy when staying in big cities, and tries to avoid them.
- Drift’s guitar’s name is Shelly. He bought her as a used guitar in a music shop in North Dacolta. Drift also has a guitar named Brian, which his father gifted him for his 10th birthday. Brian is still in Drift’s old room in his parent’s house.
