You shouldn't get them teddy bear cut because they shouldn't have the second layer of fur cut since it has a hard time regrowing. But some people do it anyway, don't know if it's because of ignorance or they simple don't care and want the dog to look "cute". Of course some Pomeranians are born with certain conditions that prevents them from having healthy fur and they need to keep it short for medical reasons.

Well I got her from a breeder and they told me she's 100% purebred but she's slightly larger than the average pom so I think she's mixed with something. I'm planning on a DNA test to be certain though of her lineage.

Oooooh yeah you know something? Maybe that's what the breeder thinks and I'm not saying Athena is not a pom or anything but there's these people who would buy dogs for fashion and when the breeder says its a pure (lets say a Schnauzer) and the new owner of the dog finds out its a lie they would be so mad. .o. (The So called Schnauzer turns out to be a long haired chihuahua)
Its also a curious question if Athena has some genetics from another breed!
