I've still been thinking about tattoos, and someday I'm probably going to end up wanting one. Interestingly enough the first one I'd probably decide on would be a phoenix. While I image myself as a hyena, it is the Phoenix I look to as a source of inspiration, where there is an end I may always find a new beginning. After the phoenix I also look up to the dragon for strength, but the phoenix means much more.So I styled around trying to get the right pose and stylized symetry I liked. I still haven't found myself satisfied with any of them yet, so I'll still be at work in designing it. I liked best the design on the furthest right but it still doesn't feel right. I think that I need to stylize more feeling of flame into it, and the proportions don't seem to be quite balanced yet.

Tatoos are a spiritually powerful process. The pain and the permanence are part of that.
It's one of the more ancient forms of body modification, and I'd suggest never to get a freedom II tatoo. Henna's fine and dandy, if all you're interested in is decoration... but it really would be pretty weak to get a real tat if it's removable (also it would probaly null or at least gimp the spiritual power of the image).

The freedom II would only be for the FFVII one, and any of the ones I'd consider I would henna several times to be certain I'd want to keep it for all time. Also that way I can be for certain how I want the design to be. And also I'm still considering them, I'm not about run out and get several tats overnight lol.

the phoenix the way I was thinking about it would be a very small black ink tat on my chest just north of the cleavage. Though I think I still want to get the FFVII meteor on my shoulder blade, and that would be in blue-green, that would a ba freedom two ink though just in case I decided to remove such evidence of fangirling. The hyena would be larger on the other shoulder blade and very stylized, and also a very small chinese dragon somewhere, likely my deltoid.
heh.... I like my boyfriend's tattoo a lot which got me thinking about what I would want again.

Generally I'm frightened of the pain stuff myself, and in general I'm just going to do them all as temporary tattoos several times to see if I still like them after having them branded on my skin for a week or two.
