CHUCHUN LAGOON OR CHUCHUN LAKE Peru . South America. Not sure the difference between lagoon or lake. Anywayz, the Chuchun Lake is at 4637 meters above the sea level... so, it's freazing cold, but it was fun. From above you can see that these lake has the shape of Peru's map. with some little differences, but it's there.
traveled over there for independence day July 28th and 29th.
Laguna Chuchun, Peru.
A 4637 m.s.n.m. ... realmente frio. pero fue muy entretenido en verdad.
si ves la laguna desde arriba puedes ver q tiene forma del mapa del Peru. viaje para fiestas patrias el 28 y 29 de Julio. La pase plenisimo. (con frio, pero pleno)copyright me me.. and stuff.. me!

oh! that's awesome! where is he planning to go exactly? maybe to Cusco? every tourist goes there, since, there is the Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders!.

I'm not sure exactly where he's going. He's not a typical tourist though, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's not going there. He's been to a lot of places. He's been to Thailand, Australia, Egypt, Madagascar, he backpacked through Europe, and a bunch of other places I can't even think of but he definitely goes places off the beaten path a lot of times. I'm sure he'll enjoy his visit and have lots of stories like he usually does.

Well, I got an update from them yesterday and I guess they've been hiking all over the Andes and sleeping in people's yards with them and cow pastures. He mentioned Lares and Waka Wasi, then they hiked to ollantaytabo and onto aguas calientes. I have no idea where these destinations are until I look at a map later, but it sounds like he's been getting around. They are going to stop at machu picchu before they leave. I agree it is great to get places no one usually goes too.

Yeah, they just got back and it sounds like they had an incredible time there. I wish I had gone, they loved the mountains! I haven't seen their photos yet though.
