Tangled, for my boyfriend. Took me 3 hours, and I don't know why. But I really like the scene. Still god awful with color choices, and lines, and landscaping. Still learning, though. Feel free to comment / critique.I loved Disney's Poster so much I thought I would recreate it and make it my own.

You're such a beast! How did you do that background? 
The only things that stand out to me are how she has a black outline which kind of distracts me from the really seamless background. And also the thickness of her hair. I think it'd blend & match the background better if you tapered the ends of the separate strands of her hair. And I agree, I love the color choices

I definitely noticed the lines around the tower's roof and her dress. That is one of the reasons it bothers me so much. I'll definitely fix that and add in tapers for the strands of her hair and update it for everyone to see. Thanks for the critique. It means a lot.

Hmmm... to be honest the color choices aren't that bad. The pink and gold contrast nicely with the dark blues and greens of the background, and they tie in quite well to the lights of the castle and stars. Rapunzel's hair draws the viewers eyes from left to right but the pink brings the viewer right back to the focus of the piece. The lack of intricacies in the middleground lends itself to the piece very nicely because the focus is not the trees, but Rapunzel and the castle in the background. There's a bit of nice paralleling between the rooftop which Rapunzel is perched on and the general shape of the castle, this draws the viewer from foreground to background. All in all I think it's a very well done piece, and three hours is an appropriate amount of time to have spent on something like this.

Aww. Thanks! I would think I could have done this in a lesser amount of time. But if I had slowed down and taken my time, it might've turned out better. I'll probably be revisiting this piece very soon to edit it some. Thank you for your comment, it means the world.
