The same as the other, without all the magic swirlies. I spent a long time with the coloring... which you can't tell now... and I did a lot of it with the tablet, which you don't care about.If you really want to know what inspired this, it was the fact that Magus can fly and he doesn't have to trudge through the snow on Death Peak like everyone else. Heh. Gosh, it looks so dull without a BG now.

very nice. ive never undertood why Magus has a red cloak in the concept art, but a dark blueish color in the game. does anyone know?

The people who do concept art don't always have a hand in the sprite making stage. In this case, I think they changed the color to match the sprite's palette. Red would have stuck out too much.

i just got the ds version yesterday, played it all day. its pretty cool. same game, plus some new things here and there.

I agree, it's nice to see all the detailing on this piece.... especially since you musta put a load of time in coloring it. You always work so hard on your clothing -- makes me think I need to start thinking more about details in my art, too. ~~;
