Best character in the entire show. Bar none. Horribly misunderstood and mistreated.

Couldn't agree more. She is definitely one of my most favorite, really well drawn here too. Trixie needs more love! She just wanted to be as good as Twi, that's all! lol

... No, not even remotely - she already was cooler than Twi, and allow me to explain my view as simply as possible.
I am an actor; film, television, stage and street. I am friends with -many- other performers, most relevantly, burlesque performers and stage magicians. All of them have a character - an on-stage personality that links in to their persona. The best actors and performers I know -never- break character when confronted with an audience, even if that character is a total bitch / smug asshole. See where I'm going with this?
The moral of that episode shouldn't be about busting boasts - Trixie is a performer through and through. It should be about the dangers of taking a stage performer seriously. None of the events of that episode would've transpired if those two brain-dead troglodytes hadn't summoned a gigantic demon-bear just to see the wild claims of a stage performer in action.
The fact is, Trixie was already cooler than Twilight; she was a dedicated performer, self-employed, who was able to find work throughout Equestria with a show she put together herself.

I am going to be that one annoying a-hole who comes into the comment section and tells the artist that Trixie's cutie mark was drawn the other way around.

Her eyes are what look the most amazing.
