This Fall I'll be traveling to Florence, Italy to attend SACI (Studio Art Centers International)! While there I'll be taking a number of thoroughly badass classes like illustration, creative writing, and fresco painting! Needless to say, I am amped. Inspired by the likes of Guy DeLisle and other impressive travel comic authors I hope to create a travel comic of my own.For my final project in my Women in Comics Class I wanted to create a series of "pre-trip" comics relating to my preparations for traveling abroad. This is 2 of 3.

I like Dante too.
If you didn't know i tell you the 2 most important verse of the Dante's"Commedia" (it is called "Divina Commedia" because Boccaccio ,an other important writter, says that the commedy was "divina").
At the hell when Dante meets Ulisse, he says to Dante how he died.Β
In the story Ulysses persuaded fellow sailors to go beyond the Pillars of Hercules saying this:
Fatti non foste a viver come bruti
ma per seguir virtute e canoscenza (in modern italian it is virtΓΉ e conoscenza)
You wasn't done to live as brutes
but to follow virtues and knowledge
