aug 10th update: the clouds were removed bc i thought it was distracting...

“But I did! I’m not the one who spoiled him, letting it do whatever it wants.”
Kovu gritted his teeth. “He is your nephew! How could you?”
“He’s not my responsibility, afterall... but yours. If there’s someone to blame, then it’s gotta be you.” Nuka waved his tail in the air, growling impatiently.
The king’s eyes widened in shock. When did his brother turned out to be so… bitter? “You are not the Nuka I remember. What happened to you?” His voice died at the flashback of Nuka’s early, happy days with him. Sudden tears peaked at the corners of his emerald eyes.
Nuka sharpened his glance in anger, puffing with debouchery and walking away. “It was always easy for you. Aren’t you satisfied yet, Your Majesty?”

i took inspiration on Silver-Wolf-17 's AU where nuka and vitani swapped roles. i found the idea interesting and wanted to try it myself, somewhere around kiara's reign.
i was still a little child in the last time i drew kovu and i had never drawn nuka before. it was a challenge to accomplish this one. i'm not satisfied either as i didn't know exactly what i was trying to do XD
since kovu's biological parents were never revealed, i thought putting extra golden hair cheeks could be an interesting add-on to his adult design.
btw,, what could have happened to the prince? it's a mystery~~
