The Test of Time

There is sat, in a field of wild Sunflowers, just outside the abandoned farm house in the background...standing the test of time, like a beacon, an icon, able to tell stories, share knowledge and it's thoughts, of families that have come and gone, of the storms it has weathered, of the sunsets it has seen, of harsh winters it has endured. Looking at it as the sun dipped down, I wondered how many children have swung from it's large branches, how many birds it has protected from the elements. It's been there for a long time, and I am willing to wager we could all learn a lot from the things it could tell us.
