lol i know, but when u listen to the commentary of the film, u hear I believe it was; Shane and Joe say that they had to really fight for 9 to be the one to do that.

who wanted 9 to put the talisman in the fabrication machine? if 9 hadnt, who would have?

it was an early idea as far as i know.
As I've said to other fellow 9fans, LISTEN to the commentary, they answer a couple fan-questions, most about 7 but still, Shane and Joe did NOT speak much about it, only that a couple of other workers disagreed that 9 should place the tailsman inside, but I may have heard wrong.
