This was session 1 on my first "Moogle" tattoo!! This is a very exciting subject for me, as the Final Fantasy series played a large role in my creative development as a child..... I drew moogles a'plenty in my youth.... expect an updated finished moogle in a few weeks.Related content

Holy shit, you render your colours and shading better than 3DStudioMax. WHAT IS YOUR SECRET?
Everyone seems to have forgotten his nose though.... I'd like to see a closeup of that. From here it actually looks edible! And, of course, perfectly three dimensional. Emphasis on "perfectly".
What needs to be finished on this one? A little shading on his legs?

Thank you so much for taking the time to really LOOK at the piece and respond to its nature... I adore when people really "look" at my work and not just glance.... beyond that let me first thank you for your flatterry and kind words but truly.... this piece in my eyes is far from perfect, though your praise stretches a smile across my face non-the-less.
To answer your question about what need be finished, a second session on the moogle itself to enhance the contrast and a backdrop incorporating Shadow from FF6 is in the works.... lots o' cools to really make that moogle pop...... additionally an on camera light source will be added by way of a "crystal" from the series.... I sort of start working backward on this one...... hehe tattoo create and learn from error I suppose.

very cute, very smooth! your blending is spectacular here, i love the values of pink. looks like it's practically CGed onto the skin rather than tattooed. thumbs up!

Thanks, I'm glad you noticed my blending here because I actually tried something a bit different. I experimented with the technique before but not all that much so it was a bit of a "well-informed-risk" if you will.... I actually shaded a great deal of that with a tight 3 liner and single needle believe it or not. Running in a nice soft hitting shader, I just used fast sweeping consistant hand motions.... Something like how you would shade using a bic pen if your familiar.... The entire ball on his head was done that way actually...
