Description
I want my friend to give me a crit before hearing it from my instructor...cause it is easier hearing it from him first. Have at it Ron and let me know where I can improvement.All critique from all viewers is welcome.

well...when these are graded I will have to reuse the clay. Right now just doing the assignments, until i actually know what I am doing.

well, they're not as angular and sharp as the ideals they portray, but the 'organic' imperfections of works in clay are what lend them their charm. unless your instructor is a real nazi hard-ass, he should not be able to find fault with these, but as i said, i dont understand his approach. working with soft clay, i think these are as well done as one could reasonably expect.

ah, ok...I see what you mean about his approach...not his idea. It's a part of the course work no matter who is teaching the class. The point is to get a person used to working with clay...funny thing is the text just more or less tells you to do it...very little in explaining HOW! I just sort of winged this and made them as well as I could, not really knowing much about clay.
It's kind of weird because with the armature the instructions were extremely detailed. Oh well..I managed.

well, the armature is very important because if you dont do it right your sculpture will be a real disaster. i know becuase , well, thats why my mores ambitious sculptures never got finished. kept falling down and caving in....

yeah...I guess mine is ok, nothing is falling apart yet with my goemetric figure...which I really should be working on now.

I really haven't had anything graded by him yet...my drawing instructor, yes...so I'm not so nervous about that class now...b ut before I know if the instructor is going to be really harsh or not...I am a nervous wreck.
