kMoOg In reply to IRoo [2006-09-24 09:55:25 +0000 UTC]

I don't have lot of money. So, I not work with Canon lens.
I like a lot TAMRON lenses. For all my pictures, I use on of thoses lenses :
TAMRON 90mm macro 2.8
TAMRON 28-75mm Macro 2.8

Of course, u must choose Di or Xr Di versions wich are optimised for digital and compatible with full frame.

With Macro lenses, you have a very good lens sharp and can disable digital sharpening.
It's ideal for natural and film rendering.

does the photo tone depends a lot on the post editing? like removing some colors and leveling/desaturating it..? thanks!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kMoOg In reply to SERZHant [2006-02-25 21:23:18 +0000 UTC]

On that picture, a "hue/saturation curve" with a global desaturation, a curve for contrasts and a skin cleaning.

SERZHant In reply to kMoOg [2006-02-25 21:36:50 +0000 UTC]

ooh, thanks for the reply bu how come we can see the yellows, if there was a total desaturation? anyway, great work!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kMoOg In reply to SERZHant [2006-02-27 10:11:38 +0000 UTC]

A global desaturation is not a full desaturation.
A global desaturation just want to say that all colors are influed by desaturation.

I partially desaturate before contrast curve.
That give that aspect and renforce details.

What stark, amazing lighting you've got in this shot. I love how the hollow's of the model's body are so smoky and dark. It really emphasizes her attitude, it is very much a "go away" or "don't bother me with trifles." Very commanding, sexy and dramatic. A beautiful piece of work.

Another great shot! Did you use a black bounce to get the silhouette? I love the details in the black dress.. Do you expose for the black dress? Can u tell me the light setup?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kMoOg In reply to henriklj [2005-09-24 10:38:33 +0000 UTC]

No, i don't use black bounce. This is the strip light wich cretate those shadows
Light measurement is made under the noze and that this measurement wich determinate lens stop.

Because I shoot with Digital camera, I alway over expose the pict a half stop for reducing noise in shadows.

I work always in RAW format for specific devs.
Camera setup is contrast at minimum, saturation too and sharpness disabled.
Big advantage of that : A rendering near than films.

In RAW dev, I decrease saturation again and I adjust "black point" (I'm not shure for traduction)
I don't touch "white point".

In photoshop, I finish the pict with masked soft curves, I clean the skin, I adjust shadows density.

Here, for exemple, I made a curve for skin and backround wich not influence black clothes.
