This works as a twin piece to The Ballerina [link] .Another dancer, another atmosphere. A cabaret girl having a tough, tough night.
It must be really hard to be all pretty and nice and cheerful everyday when you have to spend the night dancing in a cabaret......
My second picture with my markers. I think I'm in love with them........ is it... BAD?! XD
However, I don't like it as much as The Ballerina... This picture lacks contrast in my opinion, I wish I had made her hair solid black as I usually do, it would've given the whole thing more balance.
Anyway, I still hope you'll enjoy it!

First off, Grats on the DD. You're work is awesome. I disagree with which piece they choose sometimes but you're make it difficult to decide, they are all very well done.
If you do ever read this I appreciate that you took the time to do so.
I do have a question about this picture though.
Why is her leg raised, what is she feeling? Why?
I mean I understand the rough night, I just don't see why her leg would be raised like that.
I hope to hear from you about this. ^_^' Would be nice. Oh and I have like 3 absolute favorites of yours, but your work is already well known so for now I'll just remember that I love it rather than have a link somewhere in my profile ><'

I honestly don't really remember why I drew her with her leg raised... it was one of those "spur of the moment" inspirations, I guess ! This piece is pretty old, and at that time I didn't put so much effort and thought into the planning of my drawings as I do now... so there's no complicated explanation or interpretation to be made on the body position.

No, I'm a slow artist and I update about once a month.

I don't think it's slow, I think it's hard work!
I take photos because I'm lazy and I write when I feel something in me to write about.
My sis takes a month and a half to create something but it's amazing when she does. Currently she's working on a 4 piece set that lays together to create an awesome looking octopus.
