Description (What even is that title, haha. Makes it sound more epic and fantastical that it actually is. Ah well. The sentiment's there, at least.)

((Of course, as I was trying to think of what I was going to do for KND's 20th, we got our grades back for NUR105...passed my first semester of nursing school!! Hence "adult" 8.8 being in scrubs, patching up the then-6-year-old 8.8.))

KND can almost (legally) drink now, holy hell; 20 years?! Time flies for sure! Almost seemed like a few years ago that a couple friends and I would be defending ("defending") the playground from teenagers or being maliciously compliant (the best kind~) with grouchy adults.

...Of course, then you realize it's more like...hell, almost 20 years itself, not 5 or 6. XD;

I always tell people that the show makes up a solid chunk of my personality, aaaaand it's still fairly accurate? Of course, there comes a time in life where you do actually have to...gasp...start adulting!...but it never hurts to have a bit of that childlike wonder, curiosity, and an innate sense of justice for others as you grow older.  .

I will fully admit that I may get a little annoyed with them sometimes, but I don't hate kids. "Staying young", to me, is maintaining that "child at heart" mentality, at least in some aspects. It also means that you never lose sight of what it's like to be a kid, either. For example, one person may think that something as simple as a kid losing their stuffed animal is just a small thing and "nothing to whine about"...but how do you think the kid feels? Maybe that toy was their best friend and favorite plaything. You'd feel pretty shitty if you'd lost your best friend, right? I like to think that kids have a very unique and innocent outlook on life...and maybe things would be different if we learned a lesson from them.

Of course, like I said, we're going to have to mature in some aspects to make it in the real world, but keeping that sense of curiosity and energy can be a very useful asset, especially when life isn't all sunshine and rainbows. And lord knows that the past two years of my life (save for one or two super awesome things) haven't been the best...but that "keep fighting!" sense has stayed with, even in the darkest of those times, and it has helped. ^^

I know I probably just got all schmaltzy and sentimental, but hey! The show's brought out laughs, tears, and a TON of creativity from the fandom as a whole! Plus, I've made some AWESOME, certified BAMFs friends along the way (you all know who you are
Great job, team!
Here's looking at KND's 21st!
