I know that clouds are one of teh hardest thing to draw but these are really good. I love that you used different colors for the shading! c:

I had actually never really tried a landscape before!! It was really fun, though. I think I'll do more in the future.

haha, I don't really know how! I was watching a video and a mountain scene came up and it was so pretty that I just decided on a whim to give landscape painting a shot. I had just read a tutorial on foliage, too, so I wanted to try out that technique. (I also tried it on the tree but turns out that, uh, doesn't work so well. then it was too late to fix because I didn't keep my layers. :C)

Thank you! It kind of ended up being a sakura tree, yeah, haha. Ish? It wasn't initially but then when I was fiddling around with colours at the end I decided I liked it with the pink.

It is! When I was growing up we had a sakura tree in our yard. We took pictures every year by it when it bloomed so somewhere there are a ton of pictures of me at varying heights by that tree, haha.

I really like this one! ^^ The atmosphere is very well rendered, expecially on the background, where the light and the clouds give a sense of deepness to the landscape. I also really like how you painted the bush in the foreground, it's really detailed and the flowers look nice on it. The only thing that sets me off a bit is the tree. I like its texture, but the way the flowers are attached... in some cases I feel like the branches should be extended and have thinner ends where the flowers can blossom.
But considering it's a speedpaint, it's a very good work! c:

Thank you! Yeah, I know, I screwed up the tree. I tried an alternative technique on it that didn't work as expected. I really should have scrapped that part and started over, but too late now.

I love the texture of the clouds~ The way the lighting on the nearest cliff looks is really pretty as well~ c: I love the simple color palette.
I think maybe having some rim-lighting along the top of the farther hill would help add a bit of depth. Using some thinner brush strokes for varying branches as well as smaller and more numerous buds would help make the tree look a bit more natural, as well. c:
