Sorana "Soran" Yamikawa is a first year student at Kishi Academy, studying to become a Pro Hero. She's the youngest of her family and currently lives on-campus at school. She's a member of Class 1-A
███ History
Sorana is the youngest child of an ex-villain father and Quirkless mother. Unlike her two older siblings, she takes after her mother's side of the family, in looks as well as Quirk inheritance. From a young age, she looked up to her older sister, Kamui, and aspired to become a Pro Hero. Her parents encouraged her interest. She started going by the nickname Soran at age 13 as she thought it sounded "tougher".
When she was old enough, Sorana applied to Kishi Academy instead of U.A. High School, claiming that she didn't want to go to the same school as her older brother. She passed the entrance exam and moved into the on-campus housing, as she lived far enough away from the school to qualify.

███ Appearance
Sorana is a relatively tall young woman, with a notably curvy build. She has strawberry blonde hair that's about armpit length, with slightly unkempt bangs that only barely don't get into her eyes. She has indigo eyes that have three white dots on the outer sides. She also has a beauty mark underneath and to the right of her mouth.

Sorana wears Kishi's uniform style 2 at school.

Sorana has two different casual styles (not pictured). Her preferred style is relatively tomboyish, with lots of sneakers, loose button-down shirts, and slightly distressed jeans. Her secondary style is a feminine type of sporty, mostly made up of slightly tight, raglan t-shirts (also known as baseball t-shirts_ and shorts or skirts. She's more likely to wear her secondary style while out with friends.

Sorana's hero costume consists of a sleeveless, teal and blue body suit, teal armlets (three for each arm), blue gloves, blue boots, and a dark purple cape with a galaxy print on the inside. Her body suit has two darker teal stripes running from her hips to her knees.
███ Personality
Sorana presents herself as tough, taking-no-prisoners, and somewhat aloof. This persona began from her admiration of Kamui, as she wanted to emulate her elder sister and started behaving in the way she perceived her. Along the way, she developed a sense of sarcasm and brashness that Kamui does not have. Her outward persona is rather off-putting and hasn't earned her many friends. However, if one did manage to get closer to her, they would find that this outward persona is, at least in part, a front that serves to protect a much more caring and vulnerable side.
Around people she trusts, she's far more genuine and honest. Like Kamui, she isn't great at displaying affection, but makes a specific effort. She's much more caring than she initially seems, and is prone to fussing or worrying over a loved one. Additionally, she has a tendency towards jealousy, and may become withdrawn and pouty when a loved one doesn't pay her specific attention.
Due to her idolization of her older sister, she often compares herself to Kamui, and as a result feels overshadowed and inadequate. She's developed a serious inferiority complex, which in turn has sparked perfectionism and a spirit of competitiveness in order to feel superior in some way. She has a tendency to be overly harsh toward herself and becomes relatively despondent when she doesn't meet her over-inflated expectations of herself.

Galaxy Astral: Using her own energy, she is able to create "waves" that condense and resemble a black hole upon contact with a target. Everything that touches the black hole disappears, even living things. The waves, before being acted on, resemble ripples or distortion in the air, similar to that of heat waves. The waves extend for up to two meters around her. The longer the waves, the more energy it takes. The black holes created do not have suction, and collapse after two minutes. Therefore, for best results, she has to aim well at a stationary target.
Because making waves draws from her own stamina, she risks passing out if she uses her Quirk too much. She also can't control what touches a black hole once it's created.

Sorana is openly lesbian, and is demiromantic.
She's incredibly jealous of Bunjil, as he sees Kamui more often than she does. She's also jealous (though less so) of the relationships Kamui has with Keiko and Mia Rose.
After watching U.A.'s sports festival, she joked about transferring to U.A., as "U.A. has cuter girls".
