Here's a box I burned for my cousin's birthday. She had asked me the previous year to use the design on one of her birthday cards for the top (so the knotwork is not mine), but the sides are all me!
The tone of the wood on top and on the sides is slightly different, but I was asked not to stain them to match, so I didn't. (This tonal difference seems to happen sometimes in cigar boxes. The original manufacturer is not concerned about it since they just laquer over it.) I hope you all enjoy it. It was a big hit with her!knotwork belongs to the original artist and the rest to me!
