When Jeanne sneaked into the castle to get a look at Lord Sivan's secret project, she was surprised to see that the location she was given turned out to be nothing more than a greenhouse lab.

It was the armed guards, who were waiting for her, that made Jeanne realize that the whole affair had been a trap that was set just for her.

Lord Sivan made sure to goad over Jeanne while she was trussed up, but not helplessly so--for she still had a blade hidden on her person. If only her captors would leave her alone long enough to allow her to use it.
