This is an assignment for my character design class, and one that I struggled with a lot. It involved building silhouettes of characters, but what made it so hard for me was that (1) it had to be as intuitive and unplanned as possible, and (2) we built them from the inside out, rather than the outside in the way I'm used to.

This also encompasses the second half of that assignment, which was to put white positive shapes within the silohuettes to suggest at costume design. Outlining was strongly discouraged - just throw down white shapes that suggest at something really cool.

Native American c. 400AD
Victorian lady (mine is holding a cat that would really rather be somewhere else, heh)

Woww.. @3@ The white-lined native American looks amazing.. The teeth and markings are great~~ : DDD

The flowers in the Victorian lady's hair/hairpiece/hat/lawl are a nice touch.. And the cat, omfg.. |D He made me chuckle~~
