Kobb — Watercolor Tiger sketch

Description Another new toy I've been playing with is a WATER BRUSH. The brush has a little capsule of water in it, so the brush is always wet. To clean it, you either dab it on a sponge until it's clean or just wipe it on your paper until the color goes away (usually just a few strokes). Great for sketchbooking because you can take it anywhere. I want to take it to the zoo next time I go.

This is both a tiger and fat, so I think will probably like it.

What a wonderful style for big cats! The tiger is so thick, round and close to the ground. I just love it! More, more I say!

Woh, you sent me into a Google-frenzy (and after that, blog-reading.. feh. xD) with those water-brush things.. they look awesome. O8 Hah, one of the reasons I was so frustrated by watercolor in art class was because it was so imprecise.. it ended up being a huge mess. That brush sounds like a godsend. : D

Hah, s/he's a cutie.. Cx I love the markings and "?" face~!

It's a lot more precise - which makes me happy too! Now I just get to play with it until I find out the range of what it can do!

Whoo, innit weird how blogs just suck you in? Especially when there are links, then you go surfing... in the blog bog X)

Baww, it sounds amazing~ ;3; I'll have to see if I can grab one at an art store somewhere.. our Michael's is so much fun to run around in, but oddly lacking in good drawing supplies (there are plenty of fake plants, however, occupying at least 50 percent of the store).

Yesss. o___o It's the same with DA and Youtube, lol.. xD You just keep clicking.. I get lost for hours, aaaand wow I just realized it's 1:24.. Last time I looked at the clock, it was just past 11 and I planned to be asleep by midnight~~ Irony? xD

It's true O: Michael's is like half fake plants. So weird.

They don't have those at the BYU bookstore, do they? That would be just too darn convenient. Cause I really want one.

They don't, but on Freedom and 2nd South is the art store where I found it - not too far, especially by bike.

BYU did have the ink brushes, but I can't seem to find them now.

A water brush!? That sounds really fun. Art store, you say? I'll have to check all the local ones to see if they got 'em.

One thing I love about your work is that animals really look like, well, the animal without being super-realism. X3 Fat tiger.

Oooo Where did you get this Water Brush? i must know! it looks incredibly fun to play with!

The picture looks lovely. If this is what you can do normally, it would be amazing to see the kind of water brush stuff you do at the zoo o-o

I got it at the local art store - it was stocked with the watercolor supplies. Some of my fellow art major friends also have found brushes that have wells of ink in them, but I can't find where they got them D:

I have brush pens, that have wells of ink. I got those from Comic con though, from the Blick booth.

I believe you can buy the ink-brush pens on the website though (i know thats where i'll have to go to get the ink cartridge refills for them).
