You know, this one kind of reminds me of one of the covers from a Dragonlance novel... it has a character called Raistlin.

As for the critique...the eyes could've been more realistic, as well as the hair/eyebrows. You can usually show the strands of hair by doing individual strokes, instead of just shading in the area. That's what I usually do. I can't really tell what your facial expression is supposed to be, so please enlighten me.

I know; I guess that's the problem with charcoal- it's a bitch to erase. It's much easier to get emotions and details with pencil.

I understand completely. I had to use charcoal in Draw 1 class at school. Fortunately, we also got to use it on drawing fabrics, which to me was much easier.

Yeah, the robe is a bit off since I accidentally switched to pastel when I started on the bottom half. O_o I suppose it could be worse..
