Hummmm...I won't know for you, but I really liked the book better than the movie if you saw it. It's a good book, so you should try.^^

An other book that's good to read (And my personal favourite) is "Good omens" that he did with Terry Pratchet.

And Other than that if you like fantasy books you can always see "Stardust". It's awesome too.
