Well this was a contest entry but since that contest is over, I can put different description here
She's an Earth Element and she's now one of my OCs... I love Earth.
I represent Earth in a lady, she has leaves, roots around her and she's talking to a bird. Earth loves its nature, and its living things such as birds etc so I drew it like this. At the background, I drew some white grasses with a few flower, trees then I'm not sure if it's obvious but the blue at the background is supposed to be water T.T
Yes, I can't draw/color/shade a water u_u But I did my best.
The background looks a little messy but I did that on purpose just to add some different effect... And oh, there is light coming from beyond.
Me and my sister decided to include her in our collab manga. She'll be one of the Heavenly Weapons.

the character design is really creative! the way you drew the leaves is beautiful, the shape of the leaves and the way they fold around the head is really cool too. I like the background in this photo too, it give depth to the character and gives us a little more information about her. I think your shading and everything was really good so i have no complaints for this at all! but if i had to give one, i would say the colors of the character. Different shades of green or green with other color would make it more multi color instead of monotone. Well done, keep up all the good work!

That bird just looks to great but I am falling in love here at the different shades of green for her. You used them all so well to make sure they all were different but stayed in your pallet. Lovely work.

Oh wow, she's very pretty! I love the vines coming from her hair, and the blue eyes and blue lipstick was a really good choice for her!

She is such a pretty earth sprite. I really like how her hair hangs from the trees like vines. The yellow bird is very cute, as well.

You did a wonderful job on this piece! It's really simply, not with that much shadows or details, but maybe that's why it's so special!
I like the way the Earth-Elementgirl is looking at the little bird - it seems she's full of love, and that just fits to the earth element in my opinon!

Thank you so much, I made that in purpose. I wanted her to have this soft expression, and I love birds too. Earth girl should be loving its nature as well so you're right. I'm happy you thought of it the same way.
