And with that chilling whisper, he left Ms. Bradley at the top of the stairs, the sounds of his light chuckles staying with her even once he was gone.

I feel so so sorry for Mrs Bradley. She has too deal with so much from all the Homunculi--Sloth's dimness, Envy being a cruel shit, Lust's condescension, Greed's rudeness and partial nudity . . .

Yes. She is fantastic inΒ dealing with the Homunculi. Especially the way that she has these sweet and intimate moments with each of them (doing puzzles with Sloth, tea with Greed, helping Lust withΒ . . . those problems)
And she doesn't take shit from them. She made Greed give up those cigarettes, and she got Envy to take his meds!
