Description

The Outworlds Alliance is a major Periphery power located spinward of Terra and the Inner Sphere, bordering both the Draconis Combine and the Federated Suns. This region of space has also been called the "Outer Sphere".
The Alliance Military Corps (abbreviated AMC) is the military arm of the Outworlds Alliance in the thirty-first century. Founded as a pacifistic and largely agrarian nation, the Outworlds Alliance had no standing national military force until the twenty-sixth century.

Enlisted Ranks:
The ranks are more for administration matters for military duties. Every soldier with an enlisted rank serves a minimum of 48 months.

(Defender) This rank is given to new members of the AMC. The rank is also known as "Defender of the State".
(Protector) The next higher rank is Protector and is earned after 12 months of service to the state. The official rank is "Protector of the Homeland".
(Guardian) After 24 months of service, and without any dark spots in his/her records, the soldier receives the rank of Guardian. The complete rank is called "Guardian of the Alliance".
(Preceptor) This rank is reserved for soldiers without any entries in their record and after 36 months as a soldier of the AMC.

Officer Ranks:
The officer aspirant must be nominated by his representative within the parliament. Furthermore, the Military Review Board must also give their approval.

(Supervisor) This is the first rank with responsibility for an entire unit at a lance level,These officers could also command an infantry platoon or fighter lance.
(Section Leader) This officer commands, a company-sized unit (BattleMech, vehicle, or infantry) or a fighter squadron.
(Director) a director rank is responsible for a battalion (BattleMech, vehicle, infantry, or mixed units) or an entire aerospace fighter regiment.
(Chairman) This is the highest rank available in the AMC. Officers at this rank are in charge of a whole regiment or a wing.
