Interesting to point out that the cartoons back then would not allow the type of violence here ... not the soonish violence per say of the Bugs Bunny and Road Runner Show, but the punching and kicking and tearing of what you would see in a Godzilla or King Kong movie.

Indeed. We covered a lot of the rules back then and the Godzilla cartoon was one of the ones sited as was the Batman and various cartoons linked with that show, Zorro and Tarzan too.

Exactly. I also remember the problems with shows like Dungeons and Dragons and Thundarr the Barbarian ... both just made me shake my head and laugh.

Superfriends ... I often get made fun of for not only watching but collecting the original shows. Yes, it was amazing what they got away with. It's even funnier that you will see stuff go on throughout the classic cartoons, especially the ones that did NOT insult the audience's intelligence like many do today.

I like how they do change ... from very simple plots to something more akin to what comes later in the 2000's. A good example is the Gentlemen Ghost episode.

I like the evil Superfriends ep. It was dab in the middle if ' world's greatest Superfriends ' which was the worst of the lot. Oz . Wonderland. Middle earth. XD
