The contrast in this piece is wonderful (not colors/light but concept). Techno-romanticism, beauty and gore. But is there a wheel in the original un-cropped painting?

i was able to see the full painting today and it blew my mind! the detail in this painting is amazing. it is definitely the most detailed painting of kolaboy's that i have seen. you really miss out on a LOT by not seeing this in it's entirety.

does this have anything to do with david byrne? better not be that grunge band? hopefully neither, hopefully there is some hyperbolic explanation that you will dazzle me with eventually.

Fantastic work - there is so much going on in here, like nearly everyone else has said; I wish I could see the whole thing - it's like a drug - I spend a few minutes looking at it, figure I can comment, then go back and look at it again - to find meaning. I know what feelings I get from the piece, and what it mood it gives me, and I'm not sure if it's the one you were looking to send out. Either way, no matter what piece I'm looking at of yours, I always get a very strong tone from it. It's quite inspiring. I hope some day I will have the patience to pull off things that take longer than 4-8 hours ^_^ Amazing job. I'm in awe.

Looks like a collage of images from High Renaissance art to stills from early twentieth century sci fi movies. It would be nice to see the whole painting. Why don't you offer for sale a large format print of the entire painting?

It looks like a playing card because of the symetry... the girl, I'm assuming Catherine, doesn't look like a child because of teh concentration and expression and it kind of leaves you with a creepy feeling... Her bright colors and the dark background, again, I think works very well.

The girl, actually, looks to me more like she is colored like a doll than a little girl. Like one of those porceilin birthday girls.

I love your work.

...ms. catherine...i just finished reading about her...
profound. this is profound.

she is serene in her convictions--firm and solid in chaotic surroundings--she knows and controls so much via wisdom and conviction. i am not only impressed with technique, but with your marvelous interpretation of subject matter. there is darkness to the story...so much..yet she is balanced.

i saw this is a representation of who she was in regards to her placement in the overall functions of the innerworkings of the universe...symbolic in that she is central to both the existence of good and evil--that one cannot exist without the other--just as you have duplicated so many things in this piece to counterbalance one and the other...so, this is the way of the world.

there are so many hands...so many hands that immediately drew me into feeling manipulated...so very manipulated by the painting iteself--"understand me.." "know me..." she says...and so, i went and read...and know her a bit better.

thank you
for sharing your
wonderful gift.

The Catherine Weel was the weel that St. Catherine was tortured on, or is this in refrence to something elce? Interesting interpretation, it's pretty tame for the subject matter. I like those designs in the bottom, they're very futuristic looking. Too bad you couldn't get the hole of it in, it feels like their's something missing....it still looks neat though.

Oh wow... And this is only part of a larger pic... oh wow.

If you are not a famous artist that goes down in history sometime soon, then the world is unfair and I will eat a hat. (I probably sound like I'm overdoing the praise, but I'm serious - your work is extremely deep, detailed, and amazing.)

Yesturday when I came on-line for like 1 minute, I saw this and giggled to myself cause, I know who Catherine Wheel is, I met her once, when I worked at a coffee house she played at when I was yougher, you made her look better than I remember her. I wish I could see the painting as a whole. But I understand not being able to scan it all. Glad you got a daily fav! Always makes me happy when people I know get noticed for the good work they do. Great job Danny

I think to fully understand this piece we're going to need to see the rest of it. Any chance you could post the left and right portions of the painting? There seems to be much meaning in this, but its hard to decipher without the entire image. Besides that, you have dropped one more bomb of inspiration on me to further my own art. Thank you.
