I'm always expecting something slightly creepy from you, and this time I don't find it in the usual way, so I'll just say teddy bears are creepy to fulfil the need.
Of course, this does seem very sentimental. I see a woman in red--red I'm guessing would have something to do with her being sexually mature, or the icon of little red riding hood. So, I could see it as she's lamenting her lost childhood, and nostalgic about the ocean, and sail boats. Or, because it's a new bear, she could be expecting.

the hair is amazing, and something i am quickly realizing is a forte to you.
i adore the colors.
the boldness of the red in contrast with the more subtle tranquil blue of the sea behind her.
the bear is meticulously painted.
in proportion it is perfect..in color and detail, incredibly well done.

this feels kinda comfortable to me, because i wear hooded things all the time and i actually have a white teddy like that. you do fabric so amazingly well! its interesting that your paintings could mean alot of things. ive been looking at this for a few minutes and have thought of a few, and you mightn't have intended it to mean anything. also i like that you put up large scans/photos of your art, so people can see all the details.

theres always something about your paintings which make me shiver. i think it has something to do with the centrality of the portrait and the precise symmetrical balance of the background in this one that really freaks me out..

I love how I could just feel everything... The texture of the teddy bear... The velvety softness of the woman's cloak... The relaxing atmosphere... I know I've said this often but it astounds me as to how you could create such a masterpiece that actually tickles the viewer's senses... You're just incredible...

If the bear and hair and face hadn't been so good, I'd say my favorite part would be the moon. but they are there.
