this is from september, 2016! i just never submitted it anywhere archivable and i think that's a shame!
and so the lion, burnt long ago by the sun’s flames
found that it was once again okay to embrace the day he so loved

he went from being called a sunburnt lion who got so burned by finally accepting love into his life and subsequently having it be torn away from him (by a literal fiery explosion)
to learning to love again, and also spitefully defying several laws of the universe to intertwine his soul with his soulmate's forever. and also becoming physically immune to fire
