FFF. I know. I suck at backgrounds. u_u This was an experiment with textures. I'm overall pleased. Except. With the texture on both kitties. I think it's a bit lame. Also. I don't like that the halo looks too much like a moon. It's a halo. You know how they drew halos in biblical scenes? That's what I was going for.And I know, back to the lame paper texture and text. Fail. But it beats what I had before. (Sorry horrible, I won't even tell you.)
Riley (orange cat) looks REALLY cool without lines. But Kiara (grey kitty) looks not that cool. But still cool. I mean. I dunno.
The cloud, though, looks AWESOME without lines. I guess I'll stick a link in for the version without lines. And. Without background? No. Haha.

I truely hate the ratings DA gives...
The overall piece reminds me od those charms the catholics have with the saints on them that they wear for protection and such.
The cardboard effect on the cats is good, but I would have gone with maybe a canvas feel or perhaps a grude texture? I don't use tectures in my art but I am deeply in love them.
I think maybe the guardian kitten/cat should have a small smile or happier eyes, I just feel like this was a horrid accident and even the deceased is unhappy about what happened because of some reason unbeknown to us. And also, maybe a small subtle line for the guardian cat's back leg. You have in simple and sweet details, all the limbs and small cuteness of the grey kitten, so maybe a little more attention to the guardian cat?(that sounded mean, sorry ><)
Also, the guardian's tail seems a little stiff, and the halo effect I actually got that right away cause I've had jesus forced down my throat for years. But in the pictures the halo surrounds the whold head and sometimes even the neck, or at least just the face. The grey kitties left eye seems slightly off, but only by like a smidge.
Last thing I swear ><'-
The lettering. The bigger version words are slightly distracting from the ones we are supposed to be reading. Maybe making them lighter would help? Or not so bold?
Again, that made me seem like a bitch, when infact I fricken love this picture and wish I had gotten a commission from you <3
