The 12th episode of the "Marauder Shields" Mass Effect comic. In this one... We meet up with Jack, stranded on the other side of the lines and learn that sometimes there's just not enough time. because I have a feeling that Rodriquez little speech there is a bit of forshadowing to a united galaxy defeating the reapers conventionally.

You caught me there. I can't choose. I love 'em all! Shield's resignation, the reveal of his past, how he shoots Shepard to stop him and then how he goes on to protect him. Kirrahe's speech, Commander Bailey's appearance (that entry was incredibly powerful... no pun intended), Miri, Jack, and now Aria.
You are the best. Keep up the awesome work. For as long as there's hope, we WILL hold the line!
P.S.: the joke ones are amazing, too. BioWare should really see the "synthetic DNA" and the "reason for London's invasion one" - it was never ever explained why the Reapers converged on London...

Yes, everyone fighting for Shepard would have made so much more sense than the Normandy flying away with it's tail between his leg.

Wait, no. This is actually a GREAT ending! It's...I would have actually preferred this a million times over than what we got, and I mean that for real--my first playthrough ever, THIS would have been an amazing ending.

Found this last week, and I keep re-reading it. Amazing art, amazing story. Love the music links too.
Curious where you take Jack's story. Her character always struck me as "not prone to survive this fight." Because she's Jack, and she'd go down fighting just to stick her finger in Harby's eye.
Can't wait to read the next one! 100x better than BioWare's ending! Love the decision not to molly-coddle the characters.
