This is an ongoing story providing an alternative fan-made ending to the Mass Effect story, with a single game-changing maverick transforming the course of history: Marauder Shields. Be sure to start reading at episode 6. Special thanks to MichelKobayashi, and to my awesome team, my own Normandy!

Kahlee Sanders. One of the few things I don't like about ME3 was how they got her description wrong.
As Drew Karpyshyn(the guy who created her) describes in the novels: Kahlee Sanders has long dark blonde hair(natural, a genetically recessive trait extremely uncommon in ME's era), and brown eyes.
In ME3: Kahlee Sanders has light blonde hair, and blue eyes.

This is the first time I read a Marauder Shields panel by listening to the audio book first. I was listening to it while reading this episode, and all I gotta say (apart from the good VAs)...
I am so, sooooo glad that you gave Jacob some character. He's often ratted out for being dull and two-dimensional, but the way you wrote him in this is just....I have not words. Why didn't Jacob get this kind of character development in game!?
Anyway, amazing job as always. I look forward to more of the Marauder Shields project!

That buzz... has me terribly worried for the Crucible team.
I'd say Kasumi seems out of character here for wanting to be on another suicide mission, but I actually do buy that she'd want to be there once she was actually put into a position of having to watch from up close. Perhaps knowing she would feel that way was a reason she fought so hard to avoid being a part of the team again.

Wait, wasn't Jacob in the front lines on Earth. Because on your call to him he says that his kill count is through the roof.

He was lying on the call. He feels bad that while everyone else is down on Earth getting fragged, he's just been chilling up in space reading GQ and sipping ice tea or whatever he's been doing.

One question bother me: You're going to do comics for both male and female Shepard, I get it but... What about their morality? If you're gonna do one version for each gender/morality, please tell me that male Shepard will be paragon.

lol Hearing Jacob's story, I can't help but imagine his drill Sergeant as being Sarge from Red vs. Blue. Something about the whole firing live rounds at your recruits, actively trying to gun them down seems like something only he would think to do. And Jacob referring to him only as "Sarge" made the mental image all the more complete. ^_^

Well I can't remember if I already left a comment on this comic but this series is a pure win. This is some incredible work and I am hooked! I cannot wait to see the rest of the story. My only suggestion would be and you can ignore it if you like but the voice actors for your audiobooks should probably be older. Most of the voice actors for the Mass Effect series are not in their 20's. If you listen you can tell their voices are mature and the tone of their voice reflects that. So my advice would be especially for the Shepard voice actors that you get people with mature voices if you want to get as close to the originals as possible. Anyways that's my two cents, take it or leave it lol. But seriously keep up the fantastic work!

Nice. Though I sincerely hope you aren't going to write the Crucible off as some sort of Reaper bait or something. It would kinda make all the effort we've put into it worthless.
May I humbly suggest that the Reapers are trying to indoctrinate Shepard into modifying it to suit the Reapers?
