Thanks! I painted this (aquapencil and watercolors) back in February, during the early stage of trying to teach myself using those medium... it remains one of my personal favourites.. doubt that I could paint/draw the same thing now lol.

Who knows :3 maybe there'll be another fluke and something even nicer will come out. Guess spontaneity and flukes are what makes good art so good and rare.

Yeah i noticed that after i accidentally wrote off on one. I knew it looked familiar but couldn't place it! But it is very refreshing to look at some of your old work and see new things in them! I am grateful for such chances.

I really like the sketchy feel of it and how you've sort of got some atmospheric perspective going on. Actually, I only have one tiny crit, they sorta have a halo thing going on because the background isn't always painted right up them. I think in this case it works with this piece, but it's one of my pet peeves.

Yuko-san YAY!!!
Thank you! Actually I'm VERY satisfied with this one and it's like a surprise (fluke again lol) because I had NO IDEA what I was doing while sketching/coloring.. sort of like in a trance mode (it happens ALL THE TIME, just different intensity ).. to tell you the truth initially I was sketching a green field as background with blue skies... and then while coloring it just turned out like this, maybe subconsciously I was "balancing" the picture (plus their live energy, affected by their songs lol) without realizing.. hence you see the red and yellow.. can't explain
With the watercolor pencils, I guess I'm more in-tune with "solid" kind of medium, like pens, markers.. more than brushes. So I was a bit lost if just brushing the colors with waters.. I had to err, instinctively picking up the actually aquapencil, dip it into water (don't think it's a "proper" technique lol) and sketched straight with a mix of pencils and brushes.. mostly dominated by the pencils.. it's happenned so quick I could't even remember the sequences of events lol.
Bump of Chicken's AWESOME!! Yah! Sailing Day was great! I thought you might have heard them from One Piece movie heheheh.. I just love their sound, they sound like they're very energetic, passionate, and having lots of fun with their songs.. plus such simple but ingenius melody.. (plus I love that kind of voice ).. and they're ANIME fan and One Piece fan allakjfdaj too!!! Gosh I should be the one who should shut up! Yuko-san can please keep talking ehheheh

LOL! I don't blame you, Fujiwara-san (the singer/guitarist) DOES have overflowing Shani-vibe, I was seeing them "in action" ('cause previously only saw two photos of them, the one with them lying on the couch/sitting on the floor playing video games (on their official site), and the other one on the back cover of "sailing day" single.. and back then was already thinking he looked like Shani lol).. but yeah, when seeing their PV (Diamond) for the first time, I literally yelled out "SHANI!!!!! RL SHANI!!!" *0* The "drugged-out" look, the hair coveing (both) eyes , the hair style's kinda Shani-like but it's dark hair), his VERY thin body and the way he walks lol.. PLUS he's got similar kind of voice to Shuni/Shani.. but it's more grown-up and raw and husky? It's like Shuni's too gentle and sweet for the character of Shani (well, bad Shani lol).. where as I can 100% imagine Shani singing and sound just like Fujiwara-san (Bump of Chicken).. the similar rocker-vibe lol.
Heheheheh lol at your store experience.. what a lovely name: BUMP OF CHICKEN
I'm so glad the pic made you bought Bump of Chicken CD!! Wait, is that the Taiwanese version CD? Because it's kind of difficult to purchase the original Japanese release because their earlier stuff were out of stoke even in Japan O_o.. that's a lucky and powerful CD store you got there!.. oh and which album/single did you buy? Can you play the CD on your PC? Go fix the CD player ..

koony In reply to midnightpeppermint [2004-02-22 02:56:45 +0000 UTC]
Aww lucky! The Taiwanese versions often have more stuff (and WAAAY cheaper), japanese version you'd have to buy EVERY SINGLE SINGLE (lol) individually to get everything, B-sides and stuff. VERY expensive -_-; but too bad when you're obsessed, you're obsessed <- can never save $ err too bad don't have chinese records stores near me. Hmm, when you start listening (or looking at the CD), may be can tell me which tracks are in, you might have songs that I haven't got.. btw do they have photos on the CD booklet?
LOL! Yeah, Shuni's such an angel! (they even named his album Anges).. but hearing him speak seeing him live..just confirm it, an angel! He even wore white colors, with the invisible wings hehe. Where as Fujiwara-san, you just gotta see Diamond PV (or Harujion PV, those are the only PVs I've got.. want to order their DVD PVs..), he's dressing very casually, just t-shirt and jeans (no chains, no make up, no fancy "j-rock" dress).. but WHOA the rocker attitude. He's a little angel too, just with tail and horn lol.
Aww,, not enough ram on your compu then -_-. solution - just listen to music on compu and don't use it <- baka.
