Description ..for lack of a better title. And yes, her arms, face are not symmetrical, hence.
This is a strange one, well, it's something different, albeit it's experimentation again, and it's acrylic on paper again, which is not pastel, but mood is semi-pastel, but not exactly. Have I mentioned strange?
That, and I need to catch up with sleep after such long week of work 'cause right now my words don't make sense lol.
Painted previous weekend: 2006-06-12.

Thanks again and will attend inbox soon!

Hey long time no see! I hope you're doing well! Thanks, I like the painted background too, it looked like some minimalistic painting before I paint the girl infront lol. May set up an account to submit those background paint...

I think it's actually quite elegant. I hope you continue with this vein of thought; As much as I enjoy your Fujiwara drawings, it is nice to see a change of subject

with her oldfashioned clothes and hair, and that pose, she looks like a ghost to me :0 plus the scratchy background gives it a really unusual feel too, I like it alot. and you managed to sneak a cat in there as well :-D

yeah, it does look pastel even though its acrylic, very interesting. are you dry brushing for this effect? what process did you use? oh yeah, i like the warm color palette too. ^^

koony In reply to jozisars [2006-06-17 13:17:03 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. Yeah, I had fun experimenting. I think it's the many layers of paint and dry brushing and color choice which gives that effect.
This time I actually scanned the picture mid-process, will upload it into scraps.
