Of course. Actually, your story gave me an idea. Would it be all right to use a letter format like yours? I don't want to appear as if I'm copying but, in sticking with the show, a therapist would say to write a letter to vent feelings and I have an idea for a story that does exactly that: John writing a letter to no onel just to allow himself to get his thoughts in the open.

Well, this is only the prologue. I'm going to put it into narrative format after this, and go back and forth with the letters. And, please, you may do what you want. I thought it was a nice idea.

But I think it says it's something that hasn't been approached before, having John and Sherlock apart. Which means they'll be apart.

Yeah, in the official "Sherlock Holmes" movie with Robert and Jude. Sherlock was John's best man then. So if BBC decides that Sherlock wll be gone for three years (like in the novels) and John gets married without him, then we still have the film to comfort us.
But he has to come back eventually. Maybe just in time for the wedding, maybe at the end of the first episode. I don't know. But I know he will be back of course!
